• Curriculum

Curriculum used in Kinder based on K-12 Curriculum in Philippines. In St. Paul University Surigao, the curriculum used is public curriculum adjust with Paulinian Core Values in making evaluation for each learning objective. And the special of this school is religious value indirectly teach in the process of learning everyday.

 

In Kindergarten, there are seven subject they are Mathematics, Religion, Science, English Language, Tagalog Language, Writing, and Reading. The objective of learning based on Kindergarten Curriculum Guide in K-12 . In each subject book have learning objective, but sometime it is not appropriate with learning objective in K-12 curriculum (Kindergarten Curriculum Guide). When the objective is not appropriate, the teacher will adjust the objective through the guideline and make the activities to be done by the pupils.

 

I teach two subjects, math and science to the pupils. I make lesson plan based on the objective in kinder subject book and Kindergarten Curriculum Guide.

• Teaching plan related to my major

My major is Special Education. In this practice, I got a chance to teach in Kindergarten. Actually, in my major also learn how to teach subject language, science, art and mathematics. Here, I will teach math and science for Kinder level so I have to preapre lesson plan for the subjects.

 

I write my teaching plan include learning objective,  process and evaluation based on the objective in Math and Science work-text. For the lesson, I continue my class lesson and now (1st week of actual teaching) the pupils in lesson 12 for both of the subjects.
